Infotheek celebrates its 20-years anniversary

On 14 November 2011 Infotheek exists exactly 20 years and celebrates this with several promos. Infotheek treats their customers on several exclusive offers and a lot of extras for a week. Next to all the actions for this milestone a “Infographic Timeline” has been specially made. This time line characterizes 20 years of history within Infotheek. The “Infographic Timeline” can be found on the Internet site of Infotheek.

In 1991 Restart Computer started with supplying and handling new and used IT-hardware in Leiden with two employees and a simple warehouse. Current Chief Executive Officer Duco van Leenen was one of the two founders. “In 1991, we started with two men and a clear story; Only buy what you need. It didn’t take long for the individuals and companies to notice that the most recent hardware wasn’t needed to carry out their activities. While the philosophy has remained unchanged, the concept has been developed strongly in 20 years time. Where we were providing students with used computers back then, we now focus on selling earlier generation new hardware to companies, schools and public institutions. In 2004, Restart computers was renamed to Infotheek. We want to help customers to save money on their IT expenses, for example by helping them standardize. Besides a broad scale of related services we still deliver refurbished hardware. “Earlier this year Approved Selection has been launched, a special quality inspection mark for refurbished hardware. Companies are able to save 50% on IT costs and we stand for the best quality. For this reason we give up to 5 years full warranty.”
The saving concept of Infotheek goes further then only the Netherlands. At the moment Infotheek delivers all over Europe and there are, beside the head office in Leiden, also offices in Belgium, Germany, Spain and Sweden.

Chief Operations Officer Jordy Kool: You should celebrate successes. Therefore it is logical we stand still at this 20-years jubilee. We do this internally with the staff, but also with our relations. We therefore rolled out all kinds of special actions for our customers. Infotheek has grown responsibly over the last 20 years. We want to hold on to that growth. For this reason we are in search of new colleagues to fill in one of the over 30 vacancies we have at the moment.
